About Us

THE CITY MISSION'S, MISSION, VISION AND VALUES

The City Mission of Las Vegas is a Christian not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for homeless and destitute men and women and the poor and needy to transform their lives.

Our strategy is to feed the hungry, help the homeless, provide food boxes for the poor and needy and referrals to long-term residential discipleship and rehabilitation programs for all who are in need.

Our method is to provide Holiday hot meal outreach events, Family Food Box distribution, preparation and delivery of pre-cooked meals for shut-ins and home bound seniors, clothing distribution, providing household items from our "Blessingdales" free stores, life-skills workshops, work opportunities, job training,  personal counseling, chapel services, Bible studies, family restoration, and referrals to other service providers.

Our commitment is motivated by Jesus Christ’s call to serve the poor and needy.

Our values are commitment to help the homeless and poor with respect, integrity, honesty, stewardship and serving with dignity.

  HISTORY

In 1998, the City Mission of Las Vegas was launched by a team lead by Jackie Davis with help from the Los Angeles Mission.

The Mission’s Community Service Center was first located downtown at the corner of Fremont and Maryland Parkway.  After outgrowing that facility, we moved to the present location at 2214 N. Pecos, just north of Lake Mead Blvd.
