Donate Food
Each of our Family Food Boxes helps a family in need with at least 25 to 35 meals.
You can help us acquire donated food items by sponsoring:
- School food drives
- Collection boxes in the lobbies of businesses or churches
- Groups such as Sunday school classes and Girl or Boy Scouts can promote food drives like "Noodles in November"
The main non-perishable food items we need are:
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Rice
- Beans
- Pastas
- Peanut butter
- Canned meats
- Mac N Cheese
- Soups (canned or packaged)
The City Mission provides hot meals to the hungry through our community outreach meals served at a number of church sites throughout the city.

Entire families can get involved with donating non-perishable food items. It's great training for the children.
Donate your car, truck or RV
Donate your unneeded vehicle, car, truck, or RV, to the City Mission and help the hungry and homeless in the process.
We might be able to use your car for transportation for the graduates of partnering Mission's rehabilitation programs so they can get back and forth to their workplace or your truck to transport donations.
Other vehicles can be sold and the proceeds used to feed the hungry. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for the actual sales value of the donated vehicle.
Call our Vehicle Donation department today at (702) 384-1930.

Since we do not have the means to do repairs on vehicles they must be in drivable condition.
Donate Household Items
The City Mission donates household items to needy families through our "Blessingdales" free store.
We cannot accept larger household items like multi-piece sectional couches, entertainment centers and beds and mattress because of limited storage space.
However, we can always use kitchen utensils and small kitchen appliances, dishes, pots, pans, bookshelves, dressers, baby furniture, lamps and small tables and chairs.

Donated items, like pots and pans, are then given to the needy families.
Donate Clothing
We're always in need of all types of clothing however, men's and children's clothing are the hardest to come by.
Please drop off your clean and in good condition items either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday between 7:30 am and noon.
2214 North Pecos, Las Vegas (Just North of Lake Mead)
If that does not work for you, then please call (702)384-1930 to make other arrangements.
Layering on clothing is the way the homelss keep warm and carry their clothing. |
